The poet starts with their convoy of demon. Dante sees the GRAFTERS lying in the pitch like bullfrogs in water with only their snouts showing, hiding their feet and thick bodies. They disappear as soon as the see the demons, but the ripple on the surface reveals their presence.
One of the sinners whose an UNIDENTIFIED NAVARRESE, goes down too late and is caught by the demons, and he was about to be clawed. And in a twinkling, CURLY BEARD holds the demons back while Virgil questions him. The grafters speaks of  their fellow sinners, BROTHER GOMITA and MICHEL ZANCHE, while the uncontrollable demons strafe him from times to times with their clasps.
The NAVARRESE offers to attract some of his fellow sinners into the hands of the demons, and when his plan is accepted he jump into the pitch and escapes. HARLEQUIN and TRAMPLE FROST fly after him, but too late. They start a dispute on the way there and fall into the pitch themselves. CURLY BEARD immediately organizes a rescue and protect the poets, fearing the bad temper of the demons, take advantages of the confusion and run away.

CANTO GUIDE7

Canto 7
The 4th circle--- Avaricious & Prodigal
The 5th circle--- Angry &Sullen
http://cinemaelectronica.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/gustave_dore_fourth_circle_dante_inferno.jpgSummary
Virgil and Dante saw Plutus and the wolf, then continue down to the 4th circle, which has the clerics, popes and cardinals. They either can’t hold the money or toss the money too much. So they have to roll the weights and revile each other.
Then they go down to the 5th circle, where has people who’s angry and sullen, they either stand in the swamp and tear others apart or stay under the water and make the bubble.

Explanation Of The Sin/Sinner, Punishment/Contrapasso
4th circle punishmet------ They all stay in a ditch, what has been formed around as a circle, or like a ring. Two groups of soul stand on each side, with great cries rolling weights by the force of their chests. They collide each other and then reverse directions, look back and crying “Why do you hold?” and “Why do you toss?” They will do it again and again. The people in there either have bad giving or bad keeping, so they also will rise from the tomb with closed fists, or cut their hair short. The reason they stay there is they were so cross-eyed of mind when they were alive, that no measure governed their spending.

Sin/Sinner: Clerics, Popes and Cardinals, they can’t plan their money.

5th circle punishment------- They muddied in the swamp, all naked, with indignant expressions. They strike each other and tear each other apart with their teeth, piece by piece. There are also some people who stays under the water, they sigh and make the water bubble at the surface, they will say “We were gloomy in the sweet air that the sun makes glad, bearing within us the fumes of sullenness: now we languish in the black slime.” They can’t say a fully word because their throats are gurgle.

Sin/Sinner: They all have anger vanquished, they have indignant expressions for everything.
The Fortune
She is the one who’s in charge of power and money. She will transfers from time to time the empty goods from one people to another, from one family to another, beyond any human wisdom’s power to prevent.
But people doesn’t understand her, she’s so crucified by those who should give her praise, wrongly blaming and speaking ill of her.

The Styx means hate and detestation, is a river in Greek mythology that formed the boundary between the Earth and the Underworld. The river Styx, Phlegethon, Acheron, and Cocytus are all at the center of the Underworld on a great marsh, which also called the Styx.
Remember the important rivers of the Underworld are Lethe, Eridanos, and Alpheus.
